Band from Batavia NY playing in both Buffalo and Rochester. Formed in 1998 with an influence of MXPX, Screeching Weasel, Weezer, and many other pop punk influences. Most people hear Green Day when they hear Nic Fit, but that's far from what they set out to be. In fact the only people who would ever compare Nic Fit to Green Day, have only listened to Green Day and have no clue how deep Nic Fit's music is even though it's emo punk at it's roots. Thir recording pre date anything emo, they do not see them selves asd innovators of the emo movement, but rather the lost children of emo. However, their style shows a broad range of talents from blues to jazz and everything in between these guys put their heart and soul into every live performance they were booked on. Although Nic Fit prided themselves on live music and their original recordings, they also were influenced by their daily lives from drinking, relationships, growing up, but most of all friends. Nic Fit is not about one song or style. Make sure you listen to their entire album as they had 3 singers who wrote all their songs. If you want to catch Nic Fit live, it's a tad bit too late, they broke up in 2001. But if enough people are interested in them, please let them know and they might just have a reunion concert one of these days.
