The legacy of Sri Lankan music left behind by the highly versatile acoustic classical guitarist and vocalist Neville Fernando, according to many music afficionados, is hard to beat. He and his group Los Caballeros burst into the music scene in the 60’s with a creativity that soon became the rage in town. Soon this fascinating group was a popular act at many Variety shows and concerts. Neville also launched out in recording music for films. He was responsible for arranging the sound tracks and he sang as well. Sadly on April 23rd 1968, he became a victim of leukemia and passed away.
