About Monique Aragão

Born in Rio de Janeiro, the pianist, arranger and composer Monique Aragao studied music at the University of Rio de Janeiro. In 1970, 1973 and 1976, Monique won the 'Alcina Navarro', 'Liddy Mignone' & 'Lucia Branco' piano prizes, respectively. Later on, in 1992, she received the Sharp reward, a classical brazilian instrumental music reward, for her first album, 'Monique Aragao', as well as the reward 'Revelacao Instrumental'. Monique has also composed many sound tracks and worked on many theatre productions as music director and arranger, played piano in the greatest brazilian theatres, & participated on many TV programs as a music producer.
