Mississippi Goddam are Christofer Stavenborg (all instruments and vocals) and Leif Ahnland (lyrics and lead vocals). Divided by a considerable distance (Leif is currently living in Warsaw and Christofer is back in Sweden), this Swedish duo has come up with a pop music likened to la chaison Francaise and to cabaret music, that drinks inspiration from acts such as The Divine Comedy or Nicolai Dunger. The rest of their music is drunk in subtle piano melodies, whispering violins and Leif’s lo-profile and dragging calm voice. Their contribution to the compilation, Miss Monday, was their first track.
