About Mike Cross
Mike Cross (b. 1946) is an American singer and a guitar- and fiddle-player. Born in Maryville, Tennessee, he first took up guitar during his college years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His music blends several styles, from singer-songwriter to acoustic blues to humorous novelty songs. Although best known for his comedic tunes such as "The Scotsman" and "The Drunkard," Cross's repertoire has far more to offer, a fact well known to his widespread and loyal fans. He is a dedicated and energetic touring performer, bringing his unique musical stylings and quick wit to venues and private functions across the nation as a self-proclaimed "wandering hillbilly hippie folk singer."
