About Melanie Meriney

Melanie Meriney is a 21 year old singer/songwriter based in Nashville, TN with influences in country and pop. She originally began with music in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA after going to a Shania Twain concert in 3rd grade. After picking up the guitar in 7th grade, she has penned over 100 songs, playing at local coffee houses, talent shows, school productions, and in church. Currently a double songwriting and English major (secondary education minor) at Belmont University in Nashville, she was able to raise the money via Kickstarter to release her first official EP album in January 2012, entitled "All the Good Songs" after one of the tracks. Her song "No Friend of Mine" attracted the attention of radio personality Billy Block and has been featured on his locals only show in Nashville on The Big 98 WSIX. She can be found on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, and YouTube. Her EP is now available on iTunes.
