There are two Maritzas here. 1.) Maritza are a 5 piece band that was formed during the 2005 Lichfield Class Act project, and fuses the talents of five individuals, bringing you a fresh sound that is a "bit between Pop, Rock, Indie, Blues, and Westlife". They have been described as cleverly mixing bluesy guitar and classical piano to create a mature Indie-Rock sound, somewhere between the Cranberries, Muse, and Dido. 2.) Maritza is a Finnish female soloist from the province of Southern Ostrobothnia in Finland who sings Finnish evergreens and Finnish old dance music.
