Alt-world songstress Manisha Shahane (Sha-hah-nay) is bridging hemispheres with a sound that is reminiscent of Norah Jones, Susheela Raman, Loreena McKennitt, Natacha Atlas, & Kate Bush. Based in Los Angeles, Manisha has just released her second album, "When Parallel Lines Meet". Her musical collage draws on her roots in southern Virginia, her East Indian heritage, and other traditions, resulting in “music of this universe”, a lyric she penned for the album’s opening track, “Girls Gone World”. Shahane brings over a decade of experience as a performing songwriter to this project featuring her as a singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, arranger and co-producer, working alongside Daniel Cantor of Notable Productions.
