About Malte X

Malte X started out back in 1999. For some strange reason the band got major label attention and in 2001 Malte X signed a deal with Sony music. Well, that didn´t last very long... After the first single "Ge mej allt" and a couple of parties the people at Sony finally felt that they had had their fair share of Malte X. Anyway, Malte X went out on tour to support the Backyard Babies in Scandinavia and got themselves a new deal with VME. In late 2002 came the release of the first album "Jag minns inte, men det va säkert jag" (I don´t remember but it was probably me) and along with that came the second single "Varning". The video to "Varning" was made in cooperation with the famous illegal street racers "Get away in Stockholm" and for that reason no so called serious TV station (no names) in Sweden had the balls to show it. Malte X did a couple of gigs around Sweden and a along with that came the usual party stories. Well, ain´t that what rock´n´roll is all about? For one reason or another VME got cold feet. Malte X regrouped and started writing for the second album. As a friend and manager of the band I was quite used to hear about the great new songs, actually I was pretty tired of the band when I went down to their lousy rehearsal place in S..tra (south suburb of Stockholm). But out came the stuff, I mean the real shit and it totally blew me away... So what did I do!? I took the boys to my new studio, recorded and produced the album, started up a new record label, Hornvalley Records. What more to say? I´m proud to present Malte X and the new album "Försent"!
