About Maladroit
Maladroit is either a producer from Australia (1) or a Pop-Punk band from Paris, France (2). (1.) Breakcore producer based in Sydney, Australia. Formerly part of the now-defunct System:Corrupt collective. His hardcore influenced breakcore is known for exceeding speeds of 250bpm, a breakcore record. His work samples extensively from pop songs, ska and other electroacoustic genres. However unlike other artists who employ the popmash, he combines songs at breakneck speeds and with little concern for royalties owed to the artists he samples from. Some of his tracks can employ as many as 90 copyright protected songs over a five minute period. He has released on labels as Core-Tex, System Corrupt and Bruchstellen, the latter being an Australian label dedicated to releasing German breakcore artists from the 1980s. He once claimed to have invented the amen break, however this claim is unsubstantiated and is widely dismissed by experts in the breakcore sector. Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/maladroit666 (2) Formed at the end of 2009 by members of Guerilla Poubelle, Dead Pop Club, Jetsex and Justin(e), MALADROIT released its first album "JERK ALERT !". 13 urgent and spontaneous punk rock tracks inspired by the likes of Teenage Bottlerocket, Dear Landlord, Nerf Herder and Screeching Weasel. The song structures are simple, the choruses incredibly catchy and the guitar solos, played with one finger, almost annoying. What does MALADROIT sing about ? Simple and fun stuff (in english and in french), real life, loser experiences and uneasiness. This includes songs about life on the road, girls, frustration...
