There are at least two artists who perform as Mariko. MC Mariko (real name Mari Liisa Pajalahti, b. March 15, 1979) is one of two lead singers of Kwan. Her solo career debut album, Fabulous Tonight, was released on April 2, 2008. The first single is Unstoppable. time has come and still baby were released as second and third singles. In April 2011 it was rumoured that Mariko is recording a new album in New York. 1. In 2007, Mariko was chosen to dance in season 2 of the Finnish version of Dancing with the Stars (Tanssii tähtien kanssa). Together with her partner Aleksi Seppänen, she went on to win the entire competition on April 22, 2007. She has also acted in a Finnish TV soap opera called Salatut elämät in the role of Virpi Hurme from 1999 to 2000. In addition, she has played the lead role in the musical Dakota.
