About LuSINda
LuSINda's first experience of djing was on the London free party scene and whilst she only began playing out a couple of years ago, its fair to say that she has already been making waves through her incredibly versatile style, mixing anything from hip hop to funk and old classics; funky house to breaks; old skool to techno. She has also played in and around the clubs of London and makes extra special effort to see the rest of English scenes as well as to various parties abroad. Her first gig abroad was in Belgium with GLEN WILSON and GARDEL for the charity "Music As Therapy". As if the woman didn’t already have enough strings to her bow, being a career girl and Dj, she has also been making music for the last 4 years with artists such as GEEZER (Raw), GARDEL (Unknown Forces/Punish), ROWLAND the BASTARD (Infected, Projex, Planet Rhythm), EXTEC (Prime/Primate/Endangered Species/Hydrophonic) and more recently MARK HAWKINS (Crime/Djax) and JEROME HILL (Don't, Hydraulix, Yolk) She runs her own label "Victim Recordings" which is about to unleash it's 5th release from non other than ESTHER OFEI, LUKE'S ANGER, JEROME HILL and luSINda. VICTIM 006 will be Portuguese chicago technomeister, DJ MEM and LEIF RYAN and plans for a release from CUT OUT is just around the corner. The label has already released music from LUSINDA, ROWLAND THE BASTARD, MARK HAWKINS, SUBHEAD and EDIT. Other DJ's who play Victim music include: CARL COX, DAVE CLARKE, LAURENT GARNIER, BILL YOUNGMAN, DJ URBAN, DJ BAM BAM, and the godfather of underground music, Sir JOHN PEEL - R.I.P.(who actually phoned up to give his thanks in person). In 2004 saw her travelling to Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic to play and she has also been widening her producing skills. Collaborations are already out there for you guys to check out - GEEZER on RAW 27, DEAN RODELL on SUDMISSIONS 09 and DRUMWORKS and MARK HAWKINS on VICTIM. Other joint efforts are soon to come from Jerome Hill and one of the first ladies of London techno GIZELLE. 2005 took her to Venezuela, Spain, Italy and Belgrade and “Rhythm Collision” started in November with GIZELLE. This will be a monthly club night of all genres of music so as to give the underdogs a postive enviroment for open minded musicheadz!, namely Ragga, Hip Hop Acid House, Breaks, Funk, Old Skool, Tekno and Live Bands will be played. She has already started action to produce her own music and there will be more releases under the guise of "Unknown Rhythms" with DEAN RODELL for SUBMISSIONS; “Lucie Lastix” with GEEZER on RAW and something for you "wonkers" out there too under a new suedaname you've been warned! 2006 took her back to South America, namely Brasil and on JULY 22nd was the birth/launch of a night called SWERVE with fellow labels DONT RECORDINGS and NASTY COLOUR. This party s mainly to showcase homegrown artists in and around london but future plans will be open to any decent music!! 2007 already holds much promise with gigs lined up in January through to March. A birthday bonanza up at Monox was one of the best gigs yet to come, and othere parties such as Techno Sessions, Coin Operated and Miss Behaviour is just a taste for more to come!!
