Dave Loggins (born David Allen Loggins in Mountain City, Tennessee, on 10 November 1947; died 10 July 2024) was an American singer- songwriter remembered for his 1974 hit single "Please Come to Boston", as well as his 1984 duet with Anne Murray, "Nobody Loves Me like You Do". Fellow musician Kenny Loggins is his cousin. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters' Hall of Fame in 1995. As well as being remembered for writing and recording the US top ten hit Please Come to Boston in 1974, he also wrote Pieces of April, which became a Top Twenty Hit in 1973. He wrote material for Restless Heart, Wynonna Judd, Reba McEntire, Gary Morris, Alabama, Toby Keith and Don Williams. He recorded a US #1 Country song as a duet with Anne Murray in 1984 called Nobody Loves Me like You Do which also won a CMA Award for Vocal Duo of the Year. Those familiar with the Masters Golf Tournament may also have heard the theme Augusta, also written by Loggins.
