About Lime Garden

Lime Garden is a British indie rock band hailing from Brighton. Originally meeting in Guildford, the band changed its name from LIME upon relocating to Brighton. They are signed to So Young Records, a partner label of Communion Records. Self-described as "wonk pop," the band seamlessly blends various genres including disco, pop, and surf. Recognized as one of NME's top 100 artists for 2022, Lime Garden has garnered mainstream coverage in national press outlets such as The Independent, Dork, and Clash Magazine. They have graced the stages of notable UK festivals, including Latitude, Reading and Leeds Festival, Green Man Festival, and Standon Calling. Additionally, they have embarked on tours with esteemed artists such as IDLES, Sunflower Bean, and Yard Act. Lime Garden comprises four friends from Brighton who defy genre boundaries to create a sound that is uplifting yet inherently laid-back. They infuse catchy melodies and infectious hooks into a laid-back tapestry of lo-fi sounds. With the release of two singles through So Young Records, it became evident that Lime Garden was a band to watch closely. They secured spots on NME 100, Dork Hype List, and DIY Class of 2022. Their track "Pulp" premiered on The FADER and received accolades from online tastemaker Anthony Fantano. Lime Garden has received strong support from BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders in his Future Artists Slot, as well as from Lauren Laverne and Tom Robinson at BBC Radio 6 Music, Apple Music 1's Matt Wilkinson, and Radio X's John Kennedy. Esteemed colleagues such as Hayley Williams, Gorillaz, and IDLES have also expressed their support. The members of Lime Garden came together through a twist of fate when Chloe Howard and Annabel Whittle, who had become friends on social media, discovered they were enrolled in the same college. It was there that they met Leila Deeley. The three bonded over their love for Talking Heads, Courtney Barnett's lyrics, and the thriving British underground gig scene, often attending shows at the Boilerroom in Guildford. After college, the bright lights of Brighton beckoned, and it was by chance that they completed the band's lineup with the addition of Tippi Morgan. With their infectious and ever-changing energy that permeates their songs, artwork, and videos, Lime Garden is now met with a similarly enthusiastic resonance.
