Lie Captive is a progressive punk/melodic hardcore hailing from Plattsburgh, NY. The band began in summer 2010 after the dissolution of their prior band Madden Touchdown Pass. In August 2010 the band recorded a 3 song demo with Tim Lynch at the Recording Company in Albany, NY. After a year of shows and writing, the band entered the studio in June 2011 with Doug White (Gym Class Heroes, Lemuria, Psyopus) at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY to record what would become their first full length release, The Hopeless North. What came from the sessions was a record comprised of ten uptempo, emotive and technical melodic punk/hardcore songs.
