About Lee Jung Hyun

Lee Jung Hyun (이정현) is a Korean pop singer and actress, born on March 13, 1980 in Daegu, South Korea. She's known as Techno/Pop Queen. Lee Jung Hyun made her movie debut aged 16 in Kkonnip (꽃잎, "Petal"). Hyun debuted in 1999 with techno-style dance music. Her first single, Wa (와, "Come"), topped the Korean charts for three weeks, while her third, Bakkwo (바꿔, "Change"), won awards for Best Song and Most Broadcast Song. With her 5th album, Passion, she changed to a Latin style of music, complete with Spanish Guitar and flamenco-style tap dance. Many of her songs are sung in an angry mood, from the point of view of a rejected lover. "Wa" and "Bakkwo" were included in the Korean release of the game Dance Dance Revolution (and on the Japanese DDR 3rd Mix Plus, 4th Mix, and 4th Mix Plus), as well as the Korean dance game Techno Motion. Fan-made DDR dance steps of her other works are popular with players of DDR simulators. After releasing Japanese versions of her early hits "Wa" and "Heaven" in 2004, she released a Korean album called "Fantastic Girl" in 2005 (which had "FunFun" and "I Love You, Cheol Soo" as promotional tracks), a Chinese album, "Love Me", in 2006 (re-released version of "Fantastic Girl", including one only new song sung in Mandarin language) and more recently, "Avaholic", her first mini album, inspired by synth-pop music.
