About Last Stroke
Last Stroke is an Italian post-grunge band from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Formed in 2007, Last Stroke's current line up comes from the disbanding of different previous local acts. The members' musical experiences are now blended together, merging into a collection of new original songs, keeping up the idea of collectiveness that is a positive force for the band. Last Stroke achieved local success and notoriety for playing all over Emilia Romagna; to date, the band played in every famous club and private party in its area, gaining an increasing fan base. The band spent 2012 composing its debut album, "Ashtray", released on Sept. 11 for the independent label "Insomnia Records" which Last Stroke signed for. The record is an exquisite blend of rage and melody, with a pure post-grunge taste, inspired by AlterBridge, Black Stone Cherry and Nickelback. Ashtray's release party was held in Corallo Rock Club, on Sept.11, where the band opened up for Peter Doherty (UK). Astrays' first singles "Pure Fun" (song n#3) will be followed by a videoclip, soon to be on heavy rotation in the best music channels, aiming to widen Last Stroke's range of fans more and more.
