About Lady Sabre
Heavy Metal from Delray Beach, South Florida, circa 1985-1989. European distribution and widespread fan support following 2 indie releases make this band relevant within the history of indie metal. The internet still finds various mentions and items from guitar picks to bootleg cassette tapes and the CD, 'Enchanted'. Singer Sandra Thomas and guitarist Chris Warren wrote words and music, respectively. Chris Warren recorded the songs in his own studio. Lineups of bass and drums changed from the start to the eventual demise but the longest standing were John Salzlien and Richard Von Hayden. During 'Desert Storm' the band recieved fan mail from the troops in Iraq and also received letters from Russia before the Iron Curtain fell. The European distribution accomplished getting the band more exposure in Belgium, Italy, England, Russia, and more.
