About LENNY & DE WESPEN
Lenny & De Wespen is a band fronted by singer-songwriter Lennaert Maes and is founded in Leuven, Belgium. Their first LP 'Eet van Mij' (2006) is filled with fluent Dutch pop with influences from cabaret/chanson. This is especially noticed in Lenny's lyrics, which are filled with humor and ego-tripping. Lenny & De Wespen have also released an EP called 'Houtekiet' in 2004 after having won the DKA-award during the Nekka-night in 2003. In 2008 they released their second full-cd 'Geen helden meer'. Especially the ballad 'Als het kan' gets a lot of airplay.
