About LEBLANC & CARR

Formed in 1973. Collaboration between Lenny LeBlanc and Pete Carr. They recorded for the Big Tree label Artist Biography by AllMusic A duo comprising Lenny LeBlanc (b. 17 June 1951, Leominster, Massachusetts, USA) and Pete Carr (b. 22 April 1950, Daytona Beach, Florida, USA), this act enjoyed one chart album and a handful of singles in the late 70s, including the US Top 20 single ‘Falling’. Carr had formerly been a member of Hourglass the pre- Allman Brothers Band, featuring Duane and Gregg Allman. He later became a session musician and met LeBlanc in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, USA while recording sessions. Both musicians released solo albums with no success, and in 1978 they teamed up for Midnight Light, on the Big Tree label. From that album, three singles were released, each making the charts. ‘Falling’ was the second one, ascending to number 18. When the album’s title track failed to follow its predecessor up the charts, the duo split up, each returning to session work. Carr later played guitar with Paul Simon, while LeBlanc turned to Christian music.
