About Lühning

Lühning were a German band centered around the female vocalist Inga Lühning. The other members were Mario Mammone (g), Helmut Fass (b) and Christian Thomé (dr). Their debut album from 2000, Lühning, contains music between jazz and pop, with own compositions and very peculiar cover versions of songs by Joni Mitchell, Björk, John Coltrane, Astor Piazolla and Prince. In 2008 they released their second album Entfernung. According to Inga Lühning's myspace site (http://www.myspace.com/luehning) the band split up in 2010.
