About Kyung Wha Chung
Kyung-Wha Chung (정경화), born March 26, 1948 Seoul, South Korea, is a Korean violinist. A pioneer in the Asian classical music circuit, Kyung-Wha Chung's musical career began at the age of three. She gained world respect as early as the seventies and eighties and became especially well regarded for her modern interpretations of classical and romantic music. In recent years she has experienced a period of great creativity and increased mastery of her instrument that together have inspired an expansion in her repertoire to include Baroque music and the work of Mozart.
