About Kymrence Young

Born in Louisville, KY, Kymrence has always had a passion for the arts. Music was a way for her to get through life. Bullied in middle school, she wrote songs and even screenplays, to focus on her career. At age 13, she moved to Los Angeles with her mother for her career. At age 15, she began writing songs for movies and tv shows, such as, Lincoln Heights, and the movie Lifted, which she starred in. When asked what kind of music she creates, she says, "Art has no form, therefore no box. I simply create music..." Kymrence is known for bold lyrics, along with a sweet edge. "There have been times I've been asked to define myself... the best way to put it is Soft Ghetto. How Aaliyah explained, 'Street but Sweet'."
