About Kolossale Jugend

Kolossale Jugend (formed 1988, split 1991) was a German band, that was, besides for example Cpt. Kirk &. and Ostzonensuppenwürfelmachenkrebs, subsumed under the name Hamburger Schule by critics. The group was named after Colossal Youth, the only album of British post punk band Young Marble Giants. After the band split, lead singer Kristof Schreuf founded Brüllen and entered the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. Drummer Christof Leich joined Die Sterne. Guitarist Pascal Fuhlbrügge turned to electronic music. Bass Klaus Meinhardt is a cartoonist.
