About Kitchen Implosion

In the early 90s a young and brilliant folk-pop-rock band called “In The Kitchen” was playing its fresh and unusual music all around pubs, clubs, festivals, beer and wedding parties all over Italy and Switzerland for over 10 years. In 2014, more than 20 years after ITK’s early gigs some original members of the band were occasionally playing side by side in a surprisingly successful reunion tour in a few small local bars and clubs, so they decided to get back on track founding a stable new 5 elements band blending the warmest acoustic sounds of pipes, whistles and accordions with the rough and powerful sounds of electric guitars, bass and drums typical of the loved “old school” punk music played by unforgettable bands like The Ramones, The Clash and many others, putting together traditional celtic and northern-Italian tunes with original songs and well known covers as well. As a tribute to their musical beginnings and at the same time ITK’s dissolution, they chose to call the new band KITCHEN IMPLOSION. Official website: kitchenimplosion.com
