Kinfolk Kia Shine is a rapper and record producer (born Nakia Shine Coleman on October 17, 1980) in Memphis, Tennessee. His hit single is "Krispy". He has worked with artists like La' Chat, Mike Jones, Yo Gotti, Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Nelly, Jim Jones, Blak Jak, Project Pat, Wifey, and more. His aliases are Nakia Shine, Kinfolk, Kia Shine, and Kinfolk Jones. In August 2006, he hosted an episode of BET's Rap City. Kia Shine was heavily involved in a feud with Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul following the release of Da Unbreakables in 2003. He recently signed a deal with Universal Records. Kinfolk Kia Shine is a co-CEO with rapper/CEO Jack Frost of Rap Hustlaz. Kia Shine won the Southern Entertainment Award (S.E.A.) this year for best underground artist having sold over 200,000 albums with his independent label, Rap Hustlaz. Kinfolk Kia Shine's first Major record debut with Universal Records is entitled Due Season. According to his underground mixtape, Supply and Demand Vol.6 hosted by DJ Sir Swift, Due Season was released on July 31, 2007 on Universal. The first single is "Krispy". A remix was released in late July 2007 featuring E-40, Jim Jones, Swizz Beatz, LL Cool J, Remy Ma, Young Buck, Fabolous and Slim Thug.
