As far as music goes, no one knows his stuff better than Mr. Kevin O'Donnell. Born and raised on in a rural environment, it didn't take long for Kevin to gravitate towards folk music. He quickly fell in love with such artists as Bob Dylan and Neil Young, while also admiring their more recent counterparts, such as The Mountain Goats and Neutral Milk Hotel. Sometime around the summer of 2008, Kevin became one of the founding memebers of ¿Fung Wah Bus?, although it is hard for anyone to say exactly how and when the band was formed. This band focused primarily on the songwriting of William Pratt, and gave Kevin lots of room to experiment in the folk music genre. When, at last, Fung Wah Bus recorded their full length album in late 2009, fans were in for a pleasant surprise. A previously unheard song, "The Decline Of Russian Orthodox Beliefs," came through the speakers in a very different voice from that of Will Pratt. Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that Kevin O'Donnell had done vocals for the song, which was his own composition. As Fung Wah Bus wrapped up their album, Kevin O'Donnell continued with his songwriting. He developed a unique literary voice, and at last made his work available to the masses. He recorded 22 new songs onto a blank audio tape. For the most part, these tracks are simply acoustic guitar, and O'Donnell's soulful voice, however there are a few songs that make use of such instruments as the dulcimer and the ukulele. O'Donnell made enough copies of this tape for his close friends and musical affiliates, however it could not help garnering some attention. We should all have our fingers crossed that we will soon hear more from Kevin O'Donnelp.
