The Man Called Nightingale Kenny Nightingale is an extremely talented musician, Songwriter, Vocalist and Arranger. Born and raised in the Motherland of Lagos, Nigeria. Kenny grew up with a strong musical background. His aptitude for music stemmed from his acclaimed, musician father, a very supportive mother and 8 musically gifted brothers. It is no surprise that the charismatic artist tells us that, “music is in my blood”. Kenny started out recording, performing and playing various musical instruments at a very young age. He quickly evolved as the lead singer for the band(Jah Blessings), and shared the stage with his father and brothers in the 90s. By the age of 14, Kenny had already written and recorded the group’s first hit single (Bongo Man). Over the years Kenny work with grate musicians & artist from Lagos to the United States. He was the saxophonist for Onyeka Owenu,a popular female artist in Africa , Sax player for Recording artist Mike Okri. In the past, Kenny with his band Opened for the late Afro beat King – Fela Kuti for Pepsi Cola Promotions in the 90s and also Opened for Jazz Bassist Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers in Nashville Tennessee U.S.A, and also work with Nigerian super stars Majek Fashek & Ras Kimono in the United States. Today with the gifts and talents that has been bestowed upon Mr. Nightingale to play soul touching melodies with his saxophones, guitar or even through the sounds of his voice, will leave you with an extraordinary sounds of one of heavens musical gifts. I know that your spirit will find comfort within. Mr. Nightingale takes pride in touching others with sweet melodies that has been given to him from above. Mr. Nightingale’s prayer is that your hearts will be filled with overwhelming joy as you listen to his music. He has been filled with a passion and love for music as well as people around the World. That alone has confirmed to him that playing angelical sounds of Smooth Jazz with a unique blend of styles and sounds form all parts of the world is what God has commissioned him to do at a time such as now.
