Katakiri Rekka is a Japanese female lyricist, composer and vocalist. She also has a record of acting voice roles in doujin (Japanese indies) products. She mainly performs theme songs and insert songs for doujin products under her group name, CLOSED/UNDERGROUND (KURO-AN as she calls it herself), which she founded in 2002. nyanko (featured on the cover of みんのうた。, 2004) seems to be her mascot ?! She makes various appearances in cover albums as well. She is mostly known to the general public for her performing the "higurashi no naku koro ni" anime first season ending, why, or why not, aired in 2006.
