About KASEMAHLAKE

The glamour-punk-band (GPB) Kasemahlake is a one-of-a-kind phenomenon on the musical landscape of Estonia. Its uniqueness is represented by the cast as well as the repertoire. Having been in action for years, the band has acquired the status of a star of the highest level. Quite a few generations have formed their taste in music thanks to the GPB Kasemahlake. The fairy-tale began in 2000 when five young people - Piret Vaher, Anne Õuemaa, Edith Seegel, Andreas Kalkun, and Urmet Arus - felt the need to express themselves musically and so the Black Dog Project (BDP) was born. Through searching and performing to full houses, the band grew in numbers. As more members joined on stage, a new direction had to be chosen. On March 17th, 2003 the BDP performed for the last time and through the tears and pain of the performers a new star was born - GPB Kasemahlake. www.kasemahlake.ee
