About JUNIEL

Choi Jun-hee (최준희; born September 3, 1993) known by her stage name Juniel (주니엘) is a South Korean singer-songwriter. She began her career in Japan before eventually debuting in South Korea. She was first known as 'Junie', but eventually changed her name to 'Juniel', which was derived from combining her name, Junie, and L for 'love'. Juniel made her official debut on April 29, 2011; releasing her first Japanese EP titled "Ready Go!". She was the opening act for Oh Wonbin's live concert Good For You, which was held at the at Akasaka Blitz on June 26, 2011. Juniel was later the opening act for F.T Island's Messenger tour, performing at their Zepp Tokyo concert on July 6, 2011. In November, Juniel underwent a label change to Warner Music Japan and made her major debut with the single "Forever". The song was written to give support to those who suffered from the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, and was released on November 2, 2011. Her debut Korean single, "illa illa (일라 일라)", was released on June 7, 2012. She released her first EP "My First June" and held her debut showcase on the same day. Her self-composed songs, which were previously released in Japan, were also included on the release.
