"Like any debut," says Australian Julian McClung, "initially all you want to do is get your footprint in the sand." On ONE DAY the singer/songwriter/guitar slinger meets that challenge head-on. McClung’s first studio record follows many months learning the sideways and byways of a professional studio environment and marks his first turn as a co-producer. It is a soulful, cohesive collection and he says it's no accident that this project is raw, purely free, conveying that sense of electricity we had in the room, just like it is on stage. The last year has seen McClung sailing a frantic pace. In addition to his own writing and recording, he has toured and performed with icons and contemporaries alike – Eric Bibb, Colin Hay, Mark Knopfler, and Diesel, as well as Patty Griffin, Harry Bogdanovs and Don Mclean. In doing so, McClung says his own interests have grown and his perspectives expanded.
