About Judgitzu
Judgitzu is the project of French "Punk ethnomusicologist" Julien Hairon. Hairon spent the past 6 years recording soundscapes and traditional musicians across Asia, Oceania and Africa, and releasing them on his Les Cartes Postales Sonores label. Residing in Tanzania since 2017, Judgitzu has been inspired by local Singeli music. His debut EP "Umeme / Kelele" was released in 2019 on Nyege Nyege Tapes.
