About Jovan Maljoković

Jovan Maljoković is a saxophonist, arranger and composer based in Belgrade, Serbia. He is a great believer in bringing together different ethnic varieties of music. He formed his Balkan Salsa band in 1986 and the ensemble's unique blend of gypsy elements, Balkan folk music and Cuban rhythms has since been generating great interest and enthusiasm among international audiences. Besides his present band, Jovan Maljoković played and recorded with numerous musicians all across ex-Yugoslavia.
