About Joe Griffith

Joe was born and raised in Wyoming, and he still resides there. The first time he heard Stevie Ray Vaughan, he realized his calling. You see, Joe plays Fender Stratocasters exclusively and he had developed a style no one had ever really known. That is, until he heard Stevie Ray make his Strat sing the blues. Joe has always claimed that playing a Les Paul lets you sound like everyone else, but the Stratocaster makes "Me sound like me." Not adhering strictly to Stevie Ray's unique style, Joe mixes in Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater, Indigenous, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Jimi Hendrix to create a style of blues that will make your knees weak. Rousing solos and heavy, bluesy active guitar work in his music makes Joe play to packed house on the local club circuits he still works.
