MEMBERS Alexander Pavlovsky - first violin Sergei Bresler - second violin Ori Kam - viola -2013-2025 Kyril Zlotnikov - cello Ori Kam has announced he will be stepping down as the violist of the Jerusalem Quartet from October 2025. The ensemble will be joined by two violists in the upcoming 2025/26 season; Mathis Rochat, who will perform in the quartet’s North American tours, and Alexander Gordon, who will perform in the quartet’s European and Israeli concerts. In a video posted to social media, Kam mentioned challenging times for the quartet over the last few years, which ’has made it harder for the four of us to hold onto a single musical and professional vision.’ He also cited changes in his personal life and new professional opportunites as reasons for leaving the quartet, of which he has been a member for 15 years. TOURING The ensemble will be joined by two violists in the upcoming 2025/26 season; Mathis Rochat, who will perform in the quartet’s North American tours, and Alexander Gordon, who will perform in the quartet’s European and Israeli concerts. The Jerusalem Quartet continue to be both regular and popular visitors to major venues throughout the world. With a growing reputation in North America where they have played in venues throughout New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Cleveland and Washington, they embark on two extended tours in concert halls throughout the US and Canada. Their European concerts include appearances at major venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Wigmore Hall in London and the Cité de la Musique in Paris. Furthermore, they perform in Brussels, Antwerp, Gent, Lucerne, Dortmund, Perugia, Genoa, Siena and Le Mans. RECORDINGS The Jerusalem Quartet has released at least 16 albums for the Harmonia Mundi label with the most recent being their second and final album of the Bartók cycle in 2020,
