About Jeon

Jeon is the stage name of Jonathan Thiel, who was born on the island of Aruba on January 27, 1991. He is the son of musician Robert Thiel and Francia "Anchi" Thiel. Born into a family of musicians, Jeon began taking piano lessons from his father at age 8. Over the years, he has learned to play different instruments including bass, cuatro, wiri, conga and piano. Today, Jeon is a musician, composer, and producer. Jeon's hit singles are well renowned in Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Saba, Colombia, Venezuela, and The Netherlands. He was named Aruba's "Artist of the Year" on several occasions, and his songs have earned similar yearly awards. In 2016, his song "Dushi Bida" was named "Song of the Year" by numerous Aruban radio stations, and its music video has over 2 million views on Youtube. Due to his success, he has had the opportunity to perform in several countries, opening for major international acts such as Chris Brown, Don Omar, J. Balvin, Romeo Santos, Juan Luis Guerra, Gente de Zona, and Zion y Lennox. In the winter of 2018, J Balvin released a new single "Machika" featuring Jeon and Brazilian singer Anitta. The song saw immediate radio success in the US, Latin America, and Europe. The single put Jeon at the forefront of the new Urban scene. "Machika" also skyrocketed to #1 on the Global YouTube chart.
