About Jef Maarawi

ef Maarawi is a musician and actor from Athens, Greece. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he is influenced by folk artists Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Elliott Smith and Father John Misty, but also by the Brazilian music culture. In 2007 he formed a music project under the moniker Egg Hell. He released a self-titled EP in 2009, followed by the “Brownie Crumbs” EP in 2011 and a debut album entitled «Once Part of a Whole Ship» in 2014. His first solo album, “Comfort Food” was recorded in King Elephant’s studio during the winter of 2016 and will be released in December 2017 via Inner Ear.
