About Jean Constantin

John Constantine (born in 1923 in Paris, died in 1997 in Noisy-le-Grand) Is a singer-songwriter of French songs. He taught himself to play the piano by listening to jazz with the help of some different methods. This autodidact loved as much as writing as the scene. He wrote songs that have became standard features in numerous film scores. He is the author of lyrics "My ride for me", sung by Edith Piaf. In 1959 he wrote the music of the iconic film of the Nouvelle Vague, The 400 Blows by Francois Truffaut. Juliette Greco record a sung version of the main theme of the film, "Comment voulez-vous?" In addition, he wrote many film scores, including Bonjour sourire, Flash-back, La Française et l'amour.
