BLUEsOdELiC fUNk&ROLL..or just "A combination of Mississippi BLues& the electric funk of HENDRiX's Band of Gypsys"(Good Times Magazine:1998) Brooklyn born guitarist,singer,songwriter Jaime Dolce has been playing professionally since 1988.first gigs in NYC were as lead guitarist of METROPOL..Jaime later formed EL KaBoNG which mutated into iNNeRSOLe.In '94 Mason Casey Blues(Northern BLues Records.Wilson Pickett.&ex-Popa Chubby productions/Dixie Frog Records)asked me to join his band.Mason Casey still calls me his “Blues Brother” & favorite guitarist.i was playing regularly at all the NYC Blues & Rock dives in the early '90s.(Dan Lynch,Nightingale Bar, Manny's Car Wash, the Bitter End, St.Marks Bar&Grill, Mondo Cane, McGoverns, Finians Rainbow,etc)i was very lucky to be able to share the stage with many of N.Y.C.'s finest in Blues,Rock&Funk:Arthur Neilson (guitar:Shemeka Copeland), Keith Carlock(Drums: Steely Dan, Sting, The Blues Brothers, Leni Stern) Dan Hickey(Drums:JuNiOR WeLLs, Joe Cocker,Cindy Lauper, John Paris, Joe Jackson, They Might Be Giants), Lee Finkelstein(Drums:the FuNk FiLharmonic,The Blues Brothers, Tower Of Power)PaveL Maciwoda(bass:Scorpians..) Charley Torres(Bass: Edgar Winter, Rick Deringer)we had great players sitting in with Mason's band:Little Buster,Popa Chubby,Popsie Holmes.i've always dug old Delta Blues & Funk.JiMi HeNdriX,DuANE ALLmaN&tHE ALLmaN bRotHERS BanD,RoBERt JoHNSON,JaMES BRoWN,tHE BEAtLeS,tHE RoLLiNG StONES,LeD ZePPELiN,StEViE RAy VaUGHaN,tHE MetERS,Z.Z.tOP,RoBiN tROWER,SLy&tHE FaMiLy StONE,StEViE WoNdER,BoB DyLaN,etc. In 1998 i released PURPLE BLUES,recorded in Brooklyn,N.Y.with Dan Hickey(Joe Cocker,John Paris,They might Be Giants..etc)on drums & Dean Zucchero(Popa Chubby,The Healers)on Bass. By 1998 i found myself touring through Italy with a new iNNeRSOLe:Matteo Sodini on drums and Stefano Castelli on Bass.we've played just about every fUNky little pub & cLub to just about every Festival from Switzerland to Sicily.1999: Pistoia Blues Festival opening for Lucky Peterson, Johnny Lang, Deep Purple. ~2000: Alcamo Summer BLues Festival(Alcamo,Sicily)opening for Mick Taylor (John Mayal's Blues Breakers, Rolling Stones..); Bologna Blues festival opening for Nine Below Zero..a tour where we were honored to back up Mick Abrahams (Blodwyn Pig and Jethro Tull)..we were even booked a few times with Mick as Blodwyn Pig.(we didn't know until we got to shows..).. In the midst of all this..i would still hook up with Mason Casey and the fantastic KriS JeffERSoN on bass for various gigs & tours throughout The Netherlands,Belgium & France. In 2005 Zucchero Sugar Fornaciari(famous Italian rock/pop/"blues"star)came to one of my gigs &later he invited me & my band over to his Lunisiana home to jam on some new ideas.we were later asked by the president of the Zucchero fan club to play as special guests at the “2005 Zucchero fan club raduno” in Modena (Italy).Zucchero was very cool.he even came out to introduce me&the band.in 2006 i was asked to join the Davide Van De Sfroos Band (a well known italian folk/rock songwriter from Como)as lead guitarist.i had the honor of being in that band with blues harmonica hero Sugar Blue (MiSS YOU!Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Willie Dixon)&ToNY CoBiN on bass&StANLeY WatSON on drums.With the Davide Van De Sfroos Band we played The 2006 French Quarter Festival in New Orleans(USA), S.Severino Blues(Italy), the Smeraldo Theatre(Milan,itaLy),Palabasket Bellinzona(Switzerland), Rock & Folk Festival Chiasso(Switzerland), Palamazda Milano(8,000 people..)Italy.we were regularly playing sold out shows to 3,000 to 5,000 people.i played on Davide's album PICA(2007)...After playing out the rest of the summer with Van De Sfroos & with iNNeRSOLe(featuring Andrea TaraveLLi on bass)i decided it was time to leave Davide's' band&get back to America.back home i worked with various rhythm sections.Aside from reuniting with Dan Hickey(everyone from Joe Cocker to John Paris to THEY MiGHT BE GiANTS,THE B-52s,Cindy Lauper..etc)on drums..we also had(when possible) Jeremy Baum(Shameka Copeland&many others)on Hammond Organ, sometimes Eric Udell (tHE BLUES BROTHERS&many more)on bass & at times great drummers such as Lee FiNkeLStEiN(tHE BLUEs BROTHERs,tOWER oF POWER,etc),&ViCtor Jones(Chaka Khan,etc) & AdRian Harpham(drums,tHE MEtERs,LuCY PEARL.&just about everyone else.)...i also got to hook up again with the great John (Johnny Boots) Giannicchi,(we were in Mason's band together back in the '90s.)We opened up a show for the lovely Ana PoPoViC.. In 2008 i released~PEACES~ and soon after i made my way back to iTaLy...touring again with my iTaLian "soLE brotHERs" Matteo SoDiNi on drums.& Stefano CasteLLi…June 15,2011~is the release of SOMEtiMES NOW…produced by Carlo Poddighe&me & Andrea Poddighe…it is for sure the most fun i've ever had recording a record..we all had a great time and i do believe you can hear it in the music…recorded at PODDiGHE studios in BRESCiA,Italy with Matteo Sodini on drums,Stefano Castelli on bass & our new key board player Filippo Buccianelli..&many other special guests including Carlo Poddighe & Cek DeLuxe…and ALex Ricci playing lap Steele guitar on a cover of Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs&Englishmen's (really by Matthew Moore) SPACE CAPtAiN..hope you like the music.. thanks,peace&Love&iNNeRSOLe&On&On&ON…….
