About John Lamers
John Lamers (born Eindhoven, The Netherlands, 28 June 1942) is a retired Dutch singer. In the early 1960s Lamers recorded and performed with Eindhoven band, Cees & His Skyliners. See: John Lamers with Cees & His Skyliners. The partnership yielded a considerable Dutch hit: Crazy Love (Oh wat een nacht) (1961). The partnership ended in 1965 and Lamers went solo, almost exclusively singing Dutch-language repertoire from then. Between 1966 and 1968 three of his singles make it into the Dutch Top 40, his biggest hit being Ik bewonder jou ('I admire you'), a #13 Dutch hit in 1966.
