Ellison, who was born in Liverpool, is perhaps best known for playing Emily Shadwick in the television soap opera Brookside until 2003, she pursued a career in music, releasing a selection of singles, before being dropped by her record label. Her more successful singles include Baby I Don't Care and Bye Bye Boy.
