There are two bands who go by this name: 1) Januar (German for January) is an indie band from Northern California centered primarily around singer-songwriter-guitarist Cody Armacher. Brook Andrews often accompanies on classical and electric guitar. Cody and Brook were once members of a band called ROFLcopter, but changed names when their music changed directions. http;//myspace.com/roflcoptermusic 2) A Denver-based trio formed in January 2002 by married couple Amy Burbick (guitar, vocals) and Jeremy Burbick (guitar, bass, vocals) together with Katie Aikens (drums, percussion, vocals). In 2004 Patty Holland replaced Katie Aikens on drums and percussion. Originally an acoustic band, Januar’s style is characterized as “atmospheric indie-pop” and the band has been compared to Low, Pedro the Lion, and Mojave 3.
