About I Do I Do
Once a three piece indierockband, now one fingerpicking bluesy guitarplayer. I Do I Do was born in january 2004. Stefaan Decroos (guitar/vocals) and Jonas Tournicourt (bass/vocals) were engaged before as songwriting partners in the locally well known band Land. These were passionate times, but not to last. When Stephan Spriet (drums) stepped in in the winter of 2004, the season changed and pieces - stubborn rhythms, minor chords, clear melodies - fell into place. As a three piece band I do I do released their first full album None in 2007. 'None' contains thirteen songs = 42 minutes of loud 'n' melancholic indie rockmusic. The album was recorded and mixed at Camp Street Studios, Cambridge (US, Ma) by Chris Brokaw and Paul Q Kolderie. Jeff Goddard (bass, ex-Karate) joined forces after recording the album. Tournicourt got back to his favourite instrument, the guitar. In this new line-up recordings of a second album were finished in january 2010. Entitled More Light, the second album is a mix of full-band-electric-rock and Decroos-solo-acoustic-intimate stuff. It was released on cd and vinyl. After recording the album the band split up and Decroos went on by himself; More Light was presented in a solo-acoustic tour. A new sound (solo, acoustic, instrumental), a real metamorphosis. Idoido's third record is called Then.
