About Hylian

Hylian is a post-hardcore/metalcore band from Utah, United States. Hylian formed in Northern Utah during the fall of 2014. Inspired by a large list of high energy guitar-based acts, the band draws inspiration from each and consciously leaves it at that, avoiding limiting themselves to a single sound. The band's founding members (vocalist Tanner Isom and guitarist Jake Nelson) started the project after confirming studio time with Landon Tewers (The Plot in You). Later, they recruited Hector Guadarrama (guitar), Carlo Gutierrez (bass), and Logan Sullivan (drums) to complete a 5-piece ensemble in order to perform tracks from their first record, Landscapes (2015). After local promoting and minor self-booked touring, the band returned to Landon in the spring of 2017 to record their second album Raison D'etre in 2018.
