About Huub Prins
The real name of Dutch new wave singer-songwriter Huub Prins is actually not Huub Prins, but Elias Elgersma, who is best known as the frontman of the mighty The Homesick (the first ever Dutch band to release an album on Sub Pop). Originally from the Dutch town of Dokkum, but now based in Groningen, Elgersma also releases music as Yuko Yuko. As Huub Prins he writes contemporary new wave songs with introspective lyrics, sung in the Dutch language. He released seven Huub Prins albums so far: Buitenspel (2020), De rat (2021), Rievier en buurt (2021), Hoofdpersoon (2022), Snel van start (2022), Huub Prins (2023) and Verzameling van zielige verhalen (2024).
