About Hradišťan

Hradišťan is one of the oldest Czech cimbal bands. Together with a folk dance group they formed a company of the same name and have been remapping Moravian folklore from its roots in the past into modern forms. Under the leadership of Jiří Pavlica in the past 28 years activity of the group has grown and has been based on their own compositions which for example make use of the verses of poet Jan Skácel, such as on the album O Slunovratu. The band has also cooperated with the folk groups and singers, i.e. Vlasta Redl, Spirituál Kvintet and foreign artists such as japanese instrumentalist Yaz-Kaz and Dizu Platiez. www.hradistan.cz English information Deutsch Informationen
