There is more than one band with this name 1. Honeydew ハニーデュー are an alternative rock band that originated in Brooklyn, New York by Chimp Beams (K-Go) and Junko Watanabe. Their music are a combination of alternative rock, shoegaze, and power pop. The band restarted in Tokyo by K-Go and Junko in 2009 after their return to Japan. Their music are greatly influenced by US indie bands but also have Japan musical characteristics. 2. Honeydew is a musical outfit out of South Central PA. They formed at Gettysburg College in the fall of 2006. They play high-energy rock & roll music with a large dose of funk. Their songwriting combines rock-jazz-blues-funk-psychadelia with room for improvisation. With poppy lyrics and three vocalists their songs are catchy and powerful. Having built a fanbase at local fraternities and bars they are now spreading their music up and down the East Coast. 3. Honeydew is the moniker of multimedia artist Ellie Thatcher based in Chicago, Illinois.
