About Hodges, James & Smith
Hodges, James & Smith were a trio consisting of Patricia Hodge, Denita James, and Jessica Smith, founded by former Motown-producer Mickey Stevenson in 1970. Carolyn Crawford joined them in 1971 during which period they were briefly known as Hodges, James, Smith & Crawford. Crawford left again after a year, and the trio continued with their initial group name. The group released 4 LP's and enjoyed one Top 20 disco hit in 1977 with a version of Buddy Johnson's standard "Since I Fell for You".
