About Hira Hira
Hira Hira were a five-piece post-hardcore/indie rock band from Sydney, Australia. The band's final line-up consisted of vocalist Adam Agh, drummer Jack Wotton (ex-Let Me Down Jungleman), guitarist Joshua Phuah (also of You Beauty), guitarist Kris Murphy and bassist Matt Saliba (formerly of LITTER, now of Collapso). The band formed in 2008, releasing their debut EP We.Are.All.Xray.Pricks.No Talent.Fuck.Off. in October of that year. Then a quartet, all members would contribute vocals. The band would also release a split EP with electronica artist little a in 2009. In 2010, the band opened the first day of the Come Together Festival in Sydney, playing alongside Gyroscope, The Butterfly Effect, Strung Out and Frenzal Rhomb. After several line-up changes, including experimenting as a trio and adding in Ang as a lead vocalist, the new line-up of Hira Hira debuted in 2011. The band released their debut full-length album, Now Here Nowhere, in June 2012. The band announced their split in early 2013.
